The search reads data/exact_work_union_1947.json directly and uses a two-tier identity-aware alias registry: verified name forms expand automatically; broad/ambiguous forms appear separately as candidates. Original author strings remain unchanged. The retired 2,231-record author-view snapshot is not used for publication retrieval.
Fairness rule
No one artificially enlarged. No one quietly erased. A match shows what the current corpus contains; it does not prove personal identity, contribution magnitude, or scientific priority. Affiliation/source evidence stays visible so colleagues can challenge mistakes.
